I am a woman – Poetry

You find me everywhere
Yet you don’t know me.

I am the carrier
Whose womb nurtures you.
I am the embrace
Where you find love in every role.
I am the shoulder
That supports you in distressed times.
I am the enchanting smile
When I lay in your arms, as your offspring.
I am the wise sayings
When my hair turn white as years pass.
I am the warmth you seek,
Harboring love, understanding and trust.
I am the heart and soul
Of the body called family.

I am a woman whose womb
Is your first home.
I am a woman who
Is an epitome of love always.
I am a woman who loves you
As wife, a partner undeterred.
I am a woman who
Carries your progeny as your daughter.
I am a woman who
In every role, gives more.
I am a woman who
Hides tears under the smile.
I am a woman who
Covers bruises from other’s eyes.

I am a woman who’s fragile, yet
Whose power is unseen, unknown to any!

P.S. This marks my 401st post on my blog! Never knew I would go on to reach here. Thanks to all my friends and the readers of my blog who have always supported me with their words and made me write better every time I sit in front of the screen.

Thanks everyone. Lots of love to all!
