You don’t know me.

Don’t claim that you know me,
The inner demon in me, you’re yet to see.

You don’t know what I’ve lived through,
Caged, awaiting for a chance anew.

My smiles,  my face, may deceive you,
My pains, my trauma, you’ve no clue.

Don’t see me with those prejudiced eyes,
You can’t hear the voice, the echoing cries.

You aren’t aware of what life has thrown at me,
I am prepared, and don’t worry, I’ll come out free!

  1. Well expressed.
Funny how people think they know others, when often we dont know ourselves, but its always more than they will ever know 🙂

    1. Totally agree dear. Our opinions are so prejudiced and we become judgmental about each thing, specially of others.
Thanks for reading and leaving your words for me. 🙂

      1. Thank you so much, Syeda! I wish you all the best, too, my friend!! XOXO 😀
P.S. Sorry for getting back that late – I´m a bit ill (sinusitis) and have to lie in bed (but sneaked out of it to have a quick look here;) )

      2. Thanks dear! All mutual love and wishes we share! 😘😘
P.S. Hope you are taking care of yourself. That’s a real annoyance, the sinusitis, I get my regular bout in winters! And you needn’t say sorry for that dear. Just take care. I want my muse in perfect health 💕

      3. Ah – thank you so much, Syeda! You always make me smile:) Yes, those sinusitis are horrible – I hadn´t had one in nearly ten years and quiet forgot how nasty they are:( Regular colds though, but they are no comparison… Anyway, I´ll make sure to drink lots of hot ginger tea and read your poems – this should make me feel better in no time!
P.S. This muse doesn´t not want to neglect her most promising writer;)
