As I sat reading the new book I had bought, totally lost in the world created within, the words and buzz of activities around me went unnoticed. I was busy reading how the hero was trying hard to overcome his fears, fighting the demons embedded inside him. You can imagine how the hero kept me enchanted, so much that the reality around, was lost on me.

I heard my name being called, and the only response I managed to give was a Hmmm!!!
Utter silence prevailed after that. I was glad that whoever had called me wasn’t dying for my attention. I noticed that the person beside me was ruffling up the things. Grumbling and complaining about the nausea due to some issues.

While I kept wondering, I couldn’t find out, if he would overcome the arrogance in him and reach out to the heroine. The poor damsel was totally in love with him, but the handsome, in vain hero was being a complete jerk!

Suddenly the person beside me got up, and had to walk past me. I heard something about an urgent visit to the washroom.

Aaaaahh!! Here I was stuck between the turmoil of my madly-in-love couple and this someone had to go relieve, and cause disturbance all along.

I moved at all angles not letting my eyes off the line I was reading. I didn’t want to get lost and search again in that page, the last word I had read! If only this person could stay still for another 70-75 pages!

Finally, when I was in quite an uncomfortable position with my feet tucked under me, that person was able to scrape through. I wished I could just go away and sit somewhere, a place where I wouldn’t be disturbed. I let go of my thoughts, I had to get back to my Hero, I mean my heroine’s Hero!

Racing past time, fighting his devils and demons, he was now at her doorstep, ready to profess his love to her and expecting the same from her. He knocked the door and she was all angry and in pain, for he had taken so long to realize. Seriously, men can be so slow to realize this! He knocked. Knocked harder. And harder again.

Now this was strange, as much as I read about his knocking I could feel and hear a knocking sound.
It came again, and I felt my head move like a wobbly Noddy! I wasn’t hearing it, someone was knocking, I mean tapping on my head.

I raised my head, blinking faster, and standing before me was the person who had been gone a few minutes back from his seat.

Oh! Hi honey! I replied, smiling. I had to. The expression on his face looked like he was mad. Really mad!

Hellooooo! So you are finally back to this world, eh! He grumbled.
Of course I am here! I retorted, using my finger as the bookmark now.
Well, I had to literally wriggle out of there while you had your eyes stuck in that book of yours. He said, crossing his sturdy arms across his chest.
Oh cmon! I smiled sheepishly and captured his beautiful image in front of my eyes.

Wearing a blue striped shirt, headphones hanging around his neck. Sleeves rolled up near the elbow and arms crossed over his chest. The veins of his arm protruding and enticing me to touch them.

I moved a little away and let him walk through. I looked at him with a huge grin on my face.
What happened? Don’t tell me, you were reading a romantic one and have a crush on the guy now! He teased.
You know what a hopeless romantic I am! I said and winked at him. My grin intact. He rolled his eyes and laughed at me.

Just then the tea and coffee was being served by the air hostess, and my attention shifted. From my real life hero, I turned back to the hero in my book.
Before I began reading again, a thought struck my mind!
Wouldn’t the cockpit be the most peaceful place to read? No one would bother me there!
What do you say? Wanna join me?  😍😋
